Sefrou’s history is one of the most striking examples of interfaith coexistence in Morocco. The town’s name lives in its sacred geography: Jebel Binna (“The Mountain Between Us”) — said to symbolize the centuries-old bond between Sefrou’s Jewish and Muslim communities. On its slopes sit the twin caves of Kaf Al Yahud and Kaf Al Mou’men, traditional pilgrimage sites for both communities. Sefrou also holds the last remaining synagogue in town, the mausoleum of Sidi Ali Bousserghine (the patron saint of Sefrou), and the adjacent Jewish and Muslim cemeteries. Our Religious & Spiritual tours focus on these layered sacred sites — and on the human stories of coexistence behind them.
